Rhys’s first play THE ASSISTANT was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize 2022 and he was selected to be part of the Royal Court writer’s course 2022/23. He recently finished his MA in ‘Dramaturgy and Writing for Performance’ at Goldsmiths, graduating with distinction.

Currently developing original projects including TV series SANDHURST.

Rhys used to write comedy, and in the 2010s took his sketch comedy group ‘Laughing Stock’ to the Edinburgh Fringe (Underbelly) and the Soho Theatre, London. As an actor Rhys has been on many stages, filmed stuff for Netflix, been in adverts, and has spent 8+ years in The Archers.
